I was planning on posting one of these a week… but I think today marks 2 weeks since the first blog post, hahaha. XD Oh well! There’s good reason!
First and foremost, as some of you might know already, I’ve suffered from chronic stiffness for a while… this has caused headaches/migraines that can be… daily. For weeks at a time. And they don’t respond to painkillers. Around the time I had planned to write one of these last, the pain got particularly bad and I had to concede that enough was enough and do some fund raising through my ko-fi in order to go and see an osteopath about it. =( I had hoped not to, but exercises and stretches just weren’t cutting it. A whole bunch of amazing friends pitched in and I was able to go to my first therapy session yesterday! So thank-you, again, to all of you!!
She confirmed what I had already suspected… it’s VERY BAD, hahaha XD Likely caused by the dental work that gave me TMD/TMJ… around this time 2 years ago. Wild, huh? In any case, today I am in noticeably less pain, though it does rear it’s head occasionally. =) I have no idea how many sessions this is going to take to heal… but I’m on the track now… fingers crossed I can fund it XD; Because yeah, it’s really needed…
So; in the last week, I couldn’t really draw much as that made the headaches worse… so I’ve been working on my plush backlog!

I’ve made some progress on gift plush I wanted to make. =) A “ball fleece” plush of Kenny Reynolds from Kenzie Webb‘s comic, Wyntersong, to match the Wynter I made… years ago, haha! And a plush of Rae‘s version of Morty using the same pattern I made for my own Morty (which is what the image above is). At the moment, he has no head… but it’s getting there, these things are slow, hahaha XD I tried a new method for Rae’s Morty in the print on the t-shirt! My printer has been out of ink for a while, so t-shirt transfers are a no go… instead, I drew the design on using fabric markers. =) The scale is a bit small for good detail, but it’s recognisable and that’s what matters, I think! Better than the decal not being there at all!
On the comics front, I haven’t been able to build up DGiacomo’s buffer in a week because of resting from drawing to try and reduce headaches. =( Not a worry though, there’s still 2 weeks buffer until things are dire! I’m hoping to test drawing today and see if I can remain relatively headache free, at which point, it won’t be a problem. =) If all goes okay, a new arc will start in August (which is also the same day I go for the next session of my therapy, go figure!).
On originals, they are in the same position as DGiacomo, due to resting on art… =T But I HAVE been documenting the art I’ve received on Art Fight on pages on their respective parts of this site! As in… on the Bike Helmet Hero extras page and on the Living Legend extras page… These sections aren’t live just yet since most of the pages are blank. XD But if you don’t mind that, you can have a look at the Bike Helmet Hero gift art page here and the Living Legend gift art page here.

Speaking of Art Fight, I have been making art for that as well, which you can see on the Art Fight section of my Art Gallery on this site. =) And I intend on doing more of that today! There’s also some old artwork I’ve put up in that part of the site that isn’t Art Fight related, so maybe that might be interesting. =)

I guess now it’s time to see how much the first session with the osteopath has helped! If you see more Art Fight art from me after this blog post, then I’d say it’s a good sign! X) Thanks for reading these as always! And I hope creating becomes easier for me again soon so I can throw all sorts more creativity in all of your directions. =) I’ll try and write one of these again next week… we’ll see. ¦D
