I guess we can consider this a test of me making blog entries on my site, hahaha! XD Let’s see how this looks.
So, it’s the second Saturday of July, which means Art Fight has been running for almost 2 weeks! I’ve been managing to juggle drawing updates for DGiacomo and drawing revenges for people who have attacked me on Art Fight better than I expected to be able to! Which is good. =) As of this post, I’ve managed to revenge 9 times (and still have 2 to do ¦D)! I never expected to receive this much of a response from Art Fight… so… thank-you to all of you, you’re the best and you make me feel so loved, hahaha! X)
Also, that link leads to the new gallery page I’ve made where I’m archiving the Art Fight art I’ve drawn over the years! I’ll be working on making other galleries with assorted old art in that area of the site, too. =) (You can reach this from the side bar/burger menu!)
For DGiacomo itself, I’ve managed to keep it at about a 4 week buffer. =) So I have up to the end of July ready! At which point it will be entering it’s next little arc… which I hope you guys will enjoy! I’ve also updated the Artwork and the Extras pages with better image galleries that should be so much nicer to look at on both desktop AND mobile… which I consider a win! =)
Also, I’ve moved the time for holding the yearly “Character Tournament” to November! I figure that’s a better time of year to hold something like that, since it doesn’t run over an event like Art Fight in November… nor will it particularly overrun a holiday or anything. =) Also gives me plenty of time to draw the assets for it! My plan is to host polls on both Tumblr and Strawpoll… so that people who don’t use one or the other can still take part (though I will ask you guys only vote either on Tumblr OR Strawpoll and not on both XD). So that’s an event for the end of the year!
On the original stories front, I’ve been working on making site sections on here for Bike Helmet Hero, Living Legend and Batteryman! So far, they aren’t live because the pages are empty besides the Extras pages which have the gift art I’ve received over the years on them… but once I’ve got some blurbs up and maybe some character bios, I’ll make them public and they’ll be linked to as sections on the Comics section!
I’m also going to be working on lining and finalising the Tiberius one shot inbetween drawing DGiacomo chapters, but this is probably going to have to wait until August to really get rolling, since my “inbetween chapters” art time is currently being used to draw art for people on Art Fight, hahaha! XD It will happen, though =)
The other thing I’ve been working on is plush, of course! In the times where I can’t think to write or draw, I’ve been working on my plush backlog. I feel like this is probably the best way to… you know.. make progress on those whilst still progressing with everything else XD Got a lot of creativity trying to go on over here, hahaha! If you want to see WIP progress of these plush, the ones that aren’t surprises I’ll be posting WIP photos of over on my Bluesky, so you can follow progress there. =)
That aside, health wise… still dealing with the same old stuff, hahaha XD I think my endless headaches are, once again, being caused by a super stiff neck (makes sense… when you’re an artist, you look down a lot), so I’ve been trying to ice it, do gentle stretches and exercises… gentle massages… it flares up and goes down… and the intensity of my sinusitis pain seems to be linked to it… so maybe my neck is MORE stiff than I could have ever imagined… hmmm… Well, in any case, I’ll keep at it and cross my fingers for less pain… because less pain = more art! =)
